ATM - (VISA International ATM-cum-Debit Cards)

INTRODUCTION

Our Bank issues VISA International ATM-cum-Debit Cards to customers. It is an electronic purse with high convenience features, which allows its holders to withdraw cash from all ATMs displaying VISA signage in India and abroad and INFINET logo in the country. The Debit Card also allows the holder to purchase goods from any of the Merchant Establishments (ME) having POS (point of sale) terminals with VISA ELECTRON logo.

How does a Debit Card differ from a Credit Card and a Smart Card?

A Debit Card debits the designated customer account online from the available balance just like the ATM Card.  There is no interest recovery in the case of a Debit Card.

A Credit Card allows interest free credit until next billing date and rollover of credit at high interest rates thereafter.

A Smart Card has a pre-loaded value which diminishes on usage and can be re-loaded.
